Red Squirrel Campsite

A stunning 22-acre wooded site in picturesque Glencoe, Red Squirrel Campsite is a friendly and peaceful place to stay, close to the banks of the River Coe and surrounded by the rugged Argyll mountains, only 14 miles from Fort William. Loch Leven and the Great Glen are only a short drive away. Climbers, canoeists, walkers, cyclists, families and all those who love camping are very welcome. Dogs can also stay, but must be kept on-lead or on a longline at all times.

Visitors can enjoy wild camping whether staying in a tent, trailer tent or camper van. There are toilets and hot showers provided. A food truck visits most weekends. The site does not have electric hook-ups or chemical toilet and waste water disposal, but small devices can be charged in reception for a fee. Campfires are allowed in an existing firepit, or only if kept off the grass. Firewood, kindling and firelighters are available to purchase. The nearest inn is a 15-minute walk away and there are many interesting places to visit locally, including Hagrid’s Hut from the Harry Potter films and the Coe Waterfall.
