Basecamp at Mendip Activity Centre

Basecamp is a family-run campsite in the heart of the Mendip Hills, just outside Bristol and 5 minutes from the M5. Surrounded by ancient woodland, our spacious site provides the perfect base from which to enjoy the great outdoors and experience lots of fun activities. Featuring modern facilities, there are also tents for hire and other accommodation.

Pitch up on the large camping field, which accepts tents and campervans. There is no electric hook-up. For hire, the Nomadic Bell Tents and The Glamphouse provide an alternative, each sleeping 6 people. All campers and glampers can use the hot showers and toilets, washing-up stations, hire a fire pit or charge their phones at the USB charging points.

Mendip Lodge overlooks our floodlit ski slope, with a licensed bar with local brews, 10 en suite bunkrooms (sleeping 4 - 9), 4 chalets and a beer garden with cargo parachutes and communal fire bowl. The Lodge café-bar and beer garden is open to all our campers and visitors to the activity centre. Please see the website for further information.
