Kilburn village lies on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The village consists of High Kilburn, situated on a hillside and Low Kilburn, in the valley on the banks of a stream. The village is famous for the ‘White Horse of Kilburn’ (cut into the side of Sutton Bank overlooking the village), and also Robert Thompson, the craftsman who is known for his carved mouse trademark. In addition to the Mouseman Visitor Centre, the village features a traditional country pub and 12th century church. Take a walk through Kilburn woods past the White Horse and on to the top of Sutton Bank, for breathtaking panoramic views.
