Runswick Bay is a small village nestled on the northern end of a sweeping bay. With its scenery and little red-roofed cottages, it is one of the Yorkshire Coast's prettiest destinations. The sandy beach is a family favourite for rock pooling, fossil hunting and coastal walks, where you can admire breath taking sea views. Tiny pedestrian lanes weave their way around the village, with its ancient thatched coastguard's cottage, pub and café that sells delicious homemade cakes and pastries. With scenic paths on the Cleveland Way, this charming village is practically perfect! You can also visit the RNLI lifeboat station which was in use until the late 1970s, and also explore the tiny Methodist chapel, built in 1829.
