Great Broughton is a picturesque village on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, adjacent to the Cleveland Hills. The village is located on the Cleveland Way and provides an ideal place to use as a base for exploring. Locations such as Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes and the delightful Runswick Bay are all easily accessible, with Whitby and Scarborough only a few miles further down the coast. Inland, another well-known landmark is the formation of rocks known locally as ‘The Wainstones’ to the south of the village. Wainright’s famous 'Coast to Coast' walk passes close by. Close by at Ingleby, in a sheltered location, is a one-and-a-half acre mixed species course fishing lake
