Malham is a charming village in the Yorkshire Dales. It has a range of shops, some tearooms and two pubs to enjoy. Malham hosts an annual agricultural and horticultural show on the Saturday before the August Bank Holiday, as well as the Malham Safari, when the villagers build sand sculptures around the village. With its spectacular limestone scenery and karst landscape features, Malham is very popular with walkers, ramblers, rock climbers, cavers, potholers, geographers and geologists alike. Tourist attractions include Malham Tarn, Malham Cove, Gordale Scar and the Dry Valley. Malham Cove is a well-known beauty spot within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and was featured in the film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. The Pennine Way long distance footpath passes through the village, taking in the sights of Malham Cove, the Dry Valley, Water Sinks and Malham Tarn on its route northwards through the Yorkshire Dales.
