Evesham is a pretty market town within the Vale of Evesham. Find out about its rich heritage by visiting the Bell Tower, the only major remaining building of a once great abbey. Visit The Heritage Centre at The Almonry; a 14th century building which houses a wealth of information and artefacts. The region is well known for its fruit and vegetable growing. In spring, there are wonderful displays of blossom from the many acres of plum and apple trees, and the AA signposted Blossom Trail ensures that visitors can enjoy this spectacle from mid-March to mid-May. The town centre is situated within a meander of the River Avon. The river is a major town attraction with recreational areas offering fishing, walking and boating. In July each year, Evesham hosts The River Festival where boats moor alongside Workman Gardens for an illuminated boat festival with fireworks. Abbey Park, with its Victorian bandstand, offers you music on Sunday afternoons from June to September.
