Located on the banks of the River Teme and surrounded by hop fields and cider apple orchards, the charming Worcestershire market town of Tenbury Wells has been welcoming visitors for centuries. Known simply as ‘Tenbury’ until mineral springs and wells were discovered nearby, the town has a variety of features making it a great choice for a short break or holiday. Built in 1962, The Pump Rooms have long been described as ‘Chinese-gothic’ in design, and the town also has a large number of other fascinating listed buildings. There are many cafés, pubs, restaurants, independent shops and specialist food shops in the town, selling excellent local produce. The Round Market is open on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday and the Country Market sells local produce each Tuesday. The town is also host to the Art Deco Regal Cinema and Theatre, one of the oldest continually-operated cinemas in the Midlands. Tenbury Wells has long been known throughout the country for its annual winter auctions of holly and mistletoe. The Mistletoe Festival takes place each December.
