Known as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’, Broadway is a beautiful English village in Worcestershire, nestled at the foot of Fish Hill and close to the border with Gloucestershire. A popular destination year-round for a short break or holiday, the pretty High Street is lined with red horse chestnut trees and includes many period houses and honey-coloured Cotswold stone cottages. The village is well-served with local shops, restaurants and tea rooms and has a number of traditional pubs. Broadway is also a centre for arts and antiques. Local attractions include the Gordon Russell Museum, Ashmolean Museum, St Eadburgha’s Church and Broadway Tower, on its hilltop site in the Broadway Tower Country Park. The Cotswold Way also passes through the village for walkers. For a relaxing afternoon, take a stroll through the perfumed lavender fields at Hill Barn Farm or visit the National Trust Snowshill Manor, a 16th century country house.
