Bromyard is a market town in Herefordshire, situated in the valley of the River Frome. It lies near to the county border between the two cathedral cities of Hereford and Worcester. Bromyard has numerous traditional half-timbered buildings including some of the pubs. The parish church dates back to Norman times. With a busy calendar, Bromyard has earned the nickname The Town of Festivals. The High Street is filled with independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants and the Bromyard Downs and Bringsty Common provide 500 acres of stunning walking country. Bromyard is also en-route of the Three Rivers Ride; a near 60-mile horse riding trail. Bromyard is famous for its hop production and there is no better place to find out about cider. Wye Valley Brewery is about 3 miles away. The National Trust owns Lower Brockhampton, a vast estate with a 14th century moated manor house, timber-framed gatehouse, ruined chapel and an extensive system of walking trails.
