Amroth is a seaside village within Pembrokeshire National Park. It is located 8 miles from Tenby and marks the start of the 180-mile long Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, which is part of the national Cistercian Way. Amroth is famous for its glorious sand and pebble beach, which is blue-flagged, meaning safe, clean waters. It is family-friendly, with popular activities including rock pooling, fishing and windsurfing! The seafront looks out across beautiful Carmarthen Bay to the Gower Peninsula. At low tide, the remains of an ancient petrified forest can be seen. Colby Woods and Gardens are close to the beach and provide a relaxing sanctuary in a tranquil setting, with many events throughout the summer. The village shops are opposite the beach and there are restaurants, cafes and pubs and a souvenir shop. This is an excellent place for walking, and as well as the coastal path, there is the Knights Way, the Miner's Walk, Pleasant Valley, and new Wales Coastal Path.
