Hotels, Guest accommodation, Self Catering & Camping in Cemaes Bay - Anglesey
Cemaes is a charming village and fishing port on the north coast of Anglesey. It is the most northerly village in Wales. Cemaes Bay is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which is owned in part by the National Trust. There are two beaches at Cemaes; Traeth Mawr which means big beach, and another, Traeth Bach, just around from the harbour. Both beaches are overlooked by the village which has all the facilities you will need. There is plenty of sand; the kind that's perfect for building big sandcastles! There are rock pools galore and even a promenade to enjoy. Since the Victorian era, the village has been a destination for many travellers and holidaymakers. It is located on the Anglesey Coastal Path, and is well-known to those interested in geology; the rocks being part of the ancient Mona Complex. Walk along the coastal path to see Llanbadrig Church, or why not take a boat trip, go sea fishing or crabbing, or even a bit of shopping in the main street. Cemaes has lots of wildlife to observe, including Peregrine Falcons, Sandwich Terns and porpoises popping up from the sea. The harbour is a wonderful spot where you can catch flatfish, mackerel and red crabs.
