Hotels, Guest accommodation, Self Catering & Camping in Tetbury
Tetbury is a friendly small town within the Cotswolds, founded on the site of an ancient hill fort. The town was an important market town for the Cotswolds wool trade and the centre is still dominated by the pillared Market House built in 1655. Markets are held here on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Tetbury is known as an architectural gem, as many of the wool merchants houses still look as they did 300 years ago. The Parish Church of St Mary’s has an impressively tall and elegant spire. The Police Museum in the Old Court House is well worth a visit. The town has a wonderful variety of eateries, pubs and shops including many antique, specialist and independent shops. The countryside that surrounds Tetbury is home to the National Arboretum at Westonbirt, the Elizabethan Chavenage House, the Arts and Crafts Manor at Rodmarton and HRH The Prince of Wales’ garden at Highgrove
