Cirencester is a market town in east Gloucestershire known as the Capital of the Cotswolds. In Roman times, it was called ‘Corinium Dobunnorum’ and was the second largest town in Britain. This charming town with ancient honey-coloured stone buildings in picturesque narrow streets is a wonderful place to visit. The Market Place is the heart of the town and home to a Charter Market every Monday and Friday and a Farmers’ Market twice monthly. Cirencester’s Corn Hall also boasts regular markets.
