Hotels, Guest accommodation & Self Catering in Lulworth
Lulworth is the popular name for an area on the coast of Dorset notable for its castle and cove. There is no actual place or feature called simply Lulworth; the villages are East and West Lulworth and the coastal feature is Lulworth Cove. West Lulworth is a traditional Dorset fishing village and an ideal base to enjoy the Jurassic Coast. With thatched cottages dating back over 400 years, West Lulworth is steeped in history and used to be a smugglers haunt. Being the closest village to Lulworth Cove, it is hugely popular with visitors due to the unspoilt beaches, fantastic walking opportunities and geology. Lulworth Cove is one of the world's finest examples of such a landform. It is close to the rock arch of Durdle Door and other Jurassic Coast sites. The village of East Lulworth has some of the prettiest cottages in Dorset. You will also find tea rooms and a traditional village pub. Lulworth Castle with its beautiful grounds and chapel is a must-see during your stay. Explore the Castle grounds, extensive parkland and woodland walks. There is a children’s playground, tea room and places to enjoy a picnic.
