Rock is a village paradise in Cornwall located on the estuary of the River Camel, adjacent to the harbour port of Padstow. It has a long fine sandy beach that, at low tide, continues round Brea Hill to the crescent bay at Daymer. Rock is rightly acclaimed as one of the major watersports centres in Cornwall with windsurfing, water skiing, canoeing and rowing activities which can be carried on in the relatively calm waters of the estuary. Rock is very popular with sailors of all kinds of vessels from dinghies to yachts to cruisers. Rock has been referred to as 'Britain's Saint-Tropez' and the 'Kensington of Cornwall’ and is home to some excellent boutiques and upmarket restaurants. The Black Tor Ferry operates across the river to the town of Padstow.
