Corpach is a large village north of Fort William in the Scottish Highlands. Filled with famed warm Scottish hospitality, you will find plenty of places to stay, a good selection of local shops, as well as cafes and restaurants. In the centre of Corpach is The Treasures of the Earth exhibition containing crystals, gemstones and fossils. The village offers wonderful views across Lock Linnhe and Ben Nevis. Ski Ben Nevis, or take a ride in the spectacular gondola cable car to the top, and enjoy a meal at the mountain restaurant. Take a bicycle ride along the scenic Great Glen Cycling route by the side of the Caledonian Canal. Corpach marks the start of the famous Caledonian Canal and Neptunes Staircase. The canal is a 62-mile long waterway between Corpach in the West Highlands and Inverness. Only one third of the entire length is man-made, with 22 miles of man-made canal linking the four natural sea lochs of Loch Lochy, Loch Oich, Loch Ness and Loch Dochfour along the Great Glen. It is a scheduled ancient monument and is regarded as one of the great waterways of the world.
