The Middle House

The Middle House Hotel is a Grade I listed house dating back to the Elizabethan era in the pretty High Weald village of Mayfield in East Sussex. With comfortable guest rooms, a beautiful garden, pub and restaurant serving homecooked food, guests can expect an enjoyable visit.

The building’s great character is evident in the exposed timber framed walls, uneven floors and many delightful quirks. There are 4 bedrooms; all offering a mix of classic and contemporary furnishings, with a 4 poster bed, en suite bathroom, complimentary toiletries, TV with Freeview channels, Wifi, telephone and well-stocked beverage tray.

Our Bistro is open throughout the day for breakfasts, lunch, afternoon tea and evening dining. We use only the highest quality ingredients and every dish on our menu is handmade and prepared to order. We also source, wherever possible all our meat, poultry and game from local farms and producers.
