Ranscombe House Bed & Breakfast

Ranscombe House Bed and Breakfast is located on the outskirts of the East Sussex county town of Lewes. A beautiful country house surrounded by the undulating hills of the South Downs National Park, the opera house at Glyndebourne is only 2 miles away from the B & B. Owners Annabelle and David will ensure you receive a warm welcome!

Our B & B has 5 guest rooms all named after local places. Each offers spacious accommodation with stunning views, plus their own en suite facilities, complimentary Wifi, a SMART TV and beverage tray. There are double and twin rooms and we can provide 2 additional single beds in ‘Kingston’ for families. A delicious full English breakfast is served in the morning using locally-produced ingredients and eggs from our own hens. Guests can enjoy the gardens and there is plenty of on-site car parking for cars, vans or trailers.

Historical Lewes has medieval streets, old English churches and tiny twittens (alleyways). The town is dominated by the remains of a Norman castle and is also home to the townhouse of Anne of Cleves (wife of King Henry VIII). Lewes is host to numerous independent shops, art galleries and there are lots of fantastic places to eat and drink in the town. Ideal base for the coast, forest walks, attractions and National Trust properties, with so much to see and do in the area you will be spoilt for choice here!
