Thimble Cottages

Thimble Cottages are 3 traditional stone cottages offering a romantic hideaway for 2 people in the Derbyshire Dales. Situated in the charming village of Youlgreave, surrounded by some of the most breath-taking scenery in England, this is a wonderful holiday base. Offering luxurious self-catering accommodation, dogs are also welcome.

The original Thimble Cottage has a double bedroom. Tweedle Dee Cottage has a 4-poster bedroom and our beautifully refurbished barn, Dawson’s Cottage, has a double bedroom in the hayloft. All the cottages are well-appointed and very comfortable, equipped with Wifi, a TV, DVD player, underfloor heating and a kitchen with dishwasher.

There is private off-road parking for 1 car per cottage and regular buses to Bakewell and Matlock from the village. Youlgreave has 3 pubs, tea rooms and village stores, with Thimble Hall next door famous for being the smallest detached house in the UK!
