The Lookout is also a 2-storey home for 4 with a ground floor king size / twin en suite bedroom and a super king size en suite room upstairs. The Hideaway is a ground floor property for 2 guests, with a super king size en suite bedroom.

In a Conservation Area, the old village of Ticknall is surrounded by beautiful parkland in well-wooded countryside and is one of South Derbyshire’s prettiest villages. There are 3 pubs; The Staff of Life, The Chequers and the Wheel Inn, as well as local shops. On the lanes throughout the village are several cast iron fresh water pumps, still used by walkers. Close to the village is Calke Abbey, now a National Trust property.
