The Castle Lodge

The Castle Lodge is a friendly pub offering bed and breakfast and self-catering accommodation in the scenic village of Pontywaun. We are ideally situated next to Cwmcarn Forest and the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, ideal for outdoors enthusiasts and holiday travellers alike. There is plenty of car parking and secure storage for bikes.

Our 2 superb bed and breakfast rooms are located in our newly-built chalet and equipped with free Wifi, a TV and refreshments tray. There are 3 single beds in one room and a double and a single in the other. Guests have access to a shared bathroom and kitchen. A continental breakfast is included to help start your day. If you prefer self-catering, then the chalet can be exclusively booked for up to 6 guests.

There are also 2 brand new studio apartments sleeping up to 3 guests. Recently renovated, they have an open plan living area with TV, Wifi, kitchen and 3 single beds and are suitable for disabled guests. After a busy day, relax in our bar with a pint of one of our local ales or sample one of our delicious meals at Natee Thong Thai Cuisine. A traditional Sunday lunch at Castle Lodge is also a popular choice at weekends.
