The Baron at Bucknell

The Baron at Bucknell is a friendly country pub with the wonderful backdrop of the Shropshire Hills providing an enticing setting. The Baron is situated in the village of Bucknell, just 10 minutes’ drive from the medieval town of Knighton and 20 minutes from Ludlow. The Inn has remained sympathetic to its past and retains many of its original features such as wooden beams and an 18th century cider press and millstone.

The Baron offers a choice of luxurious accommodation with 5 rooms at the Inn and 3 Luxury Garden Rooms. All are equipped with king size or twin beds, en suite facilities, Smart TV, a telephone, Wifi and beverage tray with homemade biscuits. Inn rooms offer classic furnishings and old wooden beams and the boutique 5-star Garden Rooms are contemporary builds with private hot tubs and natural swimming available in the adjacent pond. Breakfast is included in our rates.

There are several cosy spaces at the inn for eating and drinking, and the lounge bar serves a wide selection of gins and cocktails. Our restaurant offers a variety of dishes from pub classics to our signature pizzas, all using fresh and locally-sourced ingredients. We also have children’s portions and can cater for special dietary requirements.
