Brown’s Hotel, dating back to 1752, is a boutique hotel in Laugharne offering superb accommodation in luxurious rooms, a famous and well-stocked bar and Penderyn Restaurant. Brown’s was the favourite watering hole of the famous Welsh poet and writer Dylan Thomas, who famously left the bar’s phone number as his own! We have also hosted many other famous people over the years and you will find a friendly and helpful staff team here.

All of our 13 guest rooms have their own character and include original beamed ceilings, retro furnishings and vibrant, attractive decor. Named after local landmarks, each room has a sumptuous king-sized bed with an organic wool mattress, an HD TV, iPod docking station, hairdryer, beverage tray and contemporary en suite facilities with luxury toiletries. Some of our rooms are dog friendly.

Guests can enjoy a drink in Dylan’s Bar or dine in the restaurant. Our dishes include wild salmon, pork tenderloin, sirloin steak, a homemade Penderyn beef burger and many more choices. We also have a bespoke vegan menu. There is on-site car parking, including a disabled space and a Tesla charging point. Brown’s also features live entertainment evenings throughout the year and can provide a complete hospitality package for conferences and special events.
