Moorgair Cottage

Moorgair Cottage is a beautifully-presented stone cottage offering self-catering accommodation for 4 or 5 guests in rural Northumberland. A self-contained holiday home attached to the main farmhouse on a small working farm adjacent to Slaley Forest, we are located only 6 miles south of Hexham.

This cottage provides a homely setting with characterful beamed ceilings. There is a cosy living area with sofas, a wood burning stove, TV, well-equipped kitchenette, dining table and use of a washer and dryer. Upstairs, there is a double, a twin and a single room with space for a cot if required. The bathroom has a bath with shower over, a shaver point and hairdryer. Linen and towels are provided and if you would like a grocery delivery ready for your arrival, we are happy to arrange this with the local supermarket.

There are miles of surrounding country lanes, forest tracks and footpaths for walking, cycling and mountain biking. Guided tours of the nearby nature reserve is a must for birdwatchers and there is pony trekking locally. You can also enjoy water sports on Derwent Reservoir.
