The Grapes Hotel

The Grapes Hotel in Newcastleton offers a restaurant and bars, comfortable guest rooms and Wifi. Dogs are welcome. Built around 1800, The Grapes is one of the few listed buildings in the town and still retains its original name. It is located on Douglas Square with ample free car parking.

We use the local butchers T Elliot and Sons for meat, our fruit and veg comes from Dumfries, our haddock straight from the North Atlantic and we also serve Stornoway black pudding. The Grapes is a great venue for a wedding or special event.

Situated in the Scottish Borders, the local area provides a wide range of activities including walking, cycling, golf, fishing and horse riding. The 7 Stanes at Newcastleton provides fantastic mountain biking. The remains of the magnificent Hermitage Castle lie on moorland north of Newcastleton and is well-worth a visit.
