Bowden House B&B

Welcome to the luxurious Bowden House Bed and Breakfast near the Borders town of Melrose. An attractive 19th century house surrounded by open countryside, our guests will find welcoming hospitality, boutique-style guest rooms, a heated boiler room for drying equipment and ample storage for bikes, golf clubs and fishing rods. The house is located directly on St Cuthbert’s Way long-distance trail.

Winner of the LUX award for Best Scottish Borders B & B 2019 and Best Boutique B & B 2019, all our rooms are elegantly furnished with their own contemporary, beautiful bathrooms. The Rococo Bedroom boasts a hand-carved king size bed; The Mahogany Twin has Edwardian twin beds and our French Deluxe Double Bedroom has a double bed and bespoke French furniture. All have complimentary toiletries, free Wifi, a TV, DVD player and beverage tray.

Relax and unwind in front of the cosy fire in our guest lounge or outside on our sun terrace. In the morning, an indulgent breakfast will be served, including a choice of a full Scottish breakfast, vegetarian or vegan breakfast or a healthy fruit platter. We use fresh, local ingredients and can cater for a range of special diets. Packed lunches and evening meals can also be provided by arrangement with friendly owners Uta and Jason.
