Carfraemill

Welcome to Carfraemill, a family-owned restaurant with guest rooms, located on the edge of the Lammermuir Hills near the town of Lauder. We offer excellent food, well-appointed rooms and have provision to host weddings or special events. Just 30 miles from Edinburgh, we are ideal as a holiday base or stopover whilst touring this beautiful Borders region.

Family-friendly, we have a variety of guest rooms available, from comfortable double and twin rooms with private bathrooms, to double rooms with en suite showers or family suites with double beds and an adjoining room with bunk beds. All bedrooms are equipped with free Wifi, a TV, hairdryer and beverage tray with our own homemade shortbread. We can also provide cots.

Guests will enjoy a delicious breakfast in our restaurant which has been given a ‘Taste Our Best’ Award from Visit Scotland. We are open all day for superb homecooked food; whether for breakfast, lunch, fine dining or afternoon tea, or even just for a quiet drink in the bar. Carfraemill also has a children’s menu and kids activities in our informal Jo’s Kitchen Cafe.
