The Border Hotel

Welcome to The Border Hotel, a mid-18th century thatched inn situated in beautiful Kirk Yetholm. Steeped in history, this warm and friendly inn is owned by local farmers Douglas and Helen, offering traditional Scottish hospitality, a well-stocked bar, excellent food and comfortable accommodation. The hotel is the proud recipient of a Visit Scotland 3-Star rating, Taste our Best Award and was a regional winner at The Scottish Hotel Awards 2019.

Our 5 guest rooms are decorated and furnished to a high standard, with en suite facilities, complimentary toiletries, free Wifi, TV and refreshment tray for making warming drinks. There are twin, double and family rooms and dogs are also welcome. We also have our self-catering Church View Cottage with 3 bedrooms that can sleep up to 6 guests.

Enjoy a hearty full Scottish breakfast in the morning with local produce and eggs from our own farm. You can also relax in our bar or beer garden and the restaurant offers an excellent seasonal menu and a function room for events. Kirk Yetholm is well-known as a centre for walkers. The Pennine Way Long Distance Footpath starts / ends at The Border Hotel and the village is also on St Cuthbert's Way. Kelso is about 8 miles away.
