Wauchope Cottages

Owners Gilly and Jason would like to welcome you to Wauchope Cottages, 5 family and dog-friendly detached self-catering holiday homes near Bonchester Bridge, about 8 miles from Hawick. With enclosed gardens and plenty of space for children and dogs to play in, the cottages are also situated on the edge of the Wauchope Forest, ideal for outdoors pursuits.

All our cottages can sleep 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. They are comfortably furnished and include central heating, electricity, a TV, DVD player and a fully-equipped kitchen. Most of our cottages also have free Wifi. Hillview Cottage is suitable for guests with disabilities / wheelchair users, with extra wide doors and ramp access. All cottages have private gardens at the rear and a communal lawned garden at the front. There is plenty of car parking available on-site.

Walking, cycling, mountain biking, pony trekking and fishing are popular activities in the area. Bonchester Bridge is located next to the Rule Water River. On the edge of the village you can see the remains of some medieval earthworks known as Duncan’s Hole. To the east of the village is Bonchester Hill, which is topped by an ancient hill fort. The Horse and Hound Country Inn is an old coaching inn serving food and real ale in the village.
