Shankend Cottage

Shankend Cottage is a self-catering holiday home in a former Edwardian hunting lodge near Hawick. Surrounded by 10 acres of open fields and rolling hills, this cottage provides a peaceful and scenic setting. There are excellent walks and wildlife-spotting in the grounds, as well as fishing on our privately-owned loch.

Sleeping up to 6 guests, this self-catering accommodation is located in the self-contained north wing of the lodge, with a cosy living room featuring TV, DVD player and open fire. There is a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area; as well as a double and twin bedrooms and a bathroom.

The cottage has a lawned garden, car parking and secure storage for bikes. Dogs are welcome and there is stabling for visiting horses. Hawick is 7 miles away; a town with a famous manufacturing history, where tweed was invented. You will find textile factory shops, places to eat and drink and the new Borders Whisky Distillery.
