Blithe Breaks

Blithe Breaks would like to welcome you to their family-owned bed and breakfast with a self-catering lodge in the historic Borders town of Duns. A beautiful Georgian villa surrounded by attractive gardens, this accommodation provides a restful and relaxing place to stay, with friendly hosts, who will be on hand to offer any help or advice during your stay.

Our bed and breakfast room is based in the main house, located in the old housekeeper’s room. Nicknamed The Butler’s Room it can be set up as a double or twin room as required. It has parquet flooring, underfloor heating, Wifi, a sitting area, chaise longue and private wet room. A continental breakfast is served in our kitchen and you are welcome to join us for an evening meal by arrangement.

Our Garden Lodge is attached to the main villa but has its own entrance. A cosy place to stay for 2 or 3 guests, there is a lounge featuring a log burning stove and sofa bed, well equipped kitchen with dining table and there are laundry facilities in the shared utility room. There is also a bedroom with double bed and a pull-out single bed. You will find no TV in our villa, which means you can enjoy other activities like reading or playing games. There is car parking and we welcome bikers too.
