Allanbank Cottages

Allanbank Cottages are 3 charming 18th century homes offering self-catering accommodation in the beautiful and rural village of Allanton in the Scottish Borders. Sensitively refurbished from a former Coach House, Groom’s and Gardener’s residence, the cottages retain many original features, coupled with a range of modern comforts.

The Coach House is a cosy cottage for 2, with a double / twin bedroom. The Groom’s Cottage and Gardener’s Cottage both sleep up to 4 guests. You will find open plan living areas featuring a cast iron stove, TV, sofas and dining table, a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer; master en suite bedroom and another bedroom, both of which can be set up with double or twin beds.

There is car parking outside each cottage and dogs are welcome. Owners Liz and Mike Hardy live on the grounds and will ensure you receive a warm welcome on arrival. The cottages are close to the scenic views of the Lammermuir Hills and Tweed Valley for walking and cycling, with ideal opportunities for fishing along the river. Situated 8 miles inland from the A1 at Berwick-upon-Tweed with its train station and by road, we are just an hour south of Edinburgh.
