Shaldon is located along the banks of the River Teign with a sandy beach along Ness Cove. There are friendly inns, restaurants and cafes plus botanical gardens, a golf course and wildlife sanctuary. The Teign Ferry can take passengers across the estuary to Teignmouth and the coastal path also passes through the village. Dartmoor is within easy driving distance.
