The Belfry at Yarcombe

Welcome to The Belfry at Yarcombe, near Honiton. Built as a village school in the 1860s, this is a unique property with flint cob walls and beautiful leaded stained glass windows. The 13th century village church stands opposite. There is free car parking outside and Wifi throughout. Offering B & B accommodation, The Belfry can be exclusively booked for groups of up to 12 guests if preferred. Owners Neil and Sarah-Jane will make you feel very welcome.

Our guest rooms all provide bespoke decor and furnishings. There are ground floor rooms available. Named after famous poets of the 19th century, each bedroom is equipped with en suite facilities, a television and well-stocked hospitality tray with homemade biscuits or flapjacks. Chilled fresh milk and juices are available at all times. With an AA and Visit England Breakfast Award, we use the best of locally-sourced produce. Choose from a Full Belfry breakfast, vegetarian or smoked fish option. There are always gluten-free sausages and cereals available.

The Belfry is nestled in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, an unspoilt rural landscape with steep valleys, forest and farmland, dotted with rivers and streams. The area offers excellent cycling, walking and horse riding and there are historical landmarks including Iron Age hillforts, airfield heritage centres, Hemyock Castle, Wolford Chapel and the Wellington Monument. The Devon coast is within 20 miles.
