The Board Inn & Cottages

Welcome to The Board Inn, a traditional 18th century inn offering a range of local ales, home-cooked food, comfortable guest rooms and holiday cottages in the village of Lealholm. Surrounded by the beauty of the Esk Valley in the North Yorkshire Moors, we are walker, cyclist and dog-friendly.

All our rooms are welcoming and attractively furnished, with en suite facilities, TV, hairdryer and refreshment tray. There are twin, double, 4-poster, family rooms with sofa beds, rooms with riverside views and rooms with Jacuzzi baths. We can also provide extras, such as flowers and chocolates.

We also have 4 excellent cottages if you prefer self-catering, each accommodating 2 to 6 guests. The cottages are fully-equipped for a holiday stay and have comfortable sitting areas, galley kitchens, modern bathrooms and access to a communal garden. There is car parking for all guests and you are welcome to enjoy a beverage in our bar or on the terrace. Our restaurant offers a fine selection of fresh local produce including Whitby lobster, Lealholm game and home-cured ham. There are options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free diets as well as a children’s menu.
