The Eskdale

The Eskdale Inn is a charming traditional pub, set the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors offering a warm welcome and comfortable accommodation.

Our two cosy, modern and recently renovated rooms are both available as twins or doubles. Each room has en-suite bathrooms, hospitality trays, TV with built in DVD players and good quality bedding. After a restful sleep you can enjoy a delicious and hearty breakfast to set you up for the day ahead.

Castleton itself is one of the largest villages in the Esk Valley and is home to a local shop, hairdressers, post office and tea rooms the train station is just a 2 minute walk from the pub making day trips to the famous seaside town of Whitby (just 18 miles away) a must. The pub is based on the Coast to Coast route and we are able to offer a secure bike storage space for cyclists and we also welcome well behaved dogs (£10 per dog) for those who wish to explore the Esk Valley by foot!
