The Garden Studios

The Garden Studios have been developed by Paul Duffy and Julia Williams into accommodation for weekend breaks and retreats in Bridport, with yoga and movement classes and a range of complimentary therapies offered in a tranquil and relaxing setting.

We have a self-contained ground floor garden studio, attached to the main house, which was formerly a ropemakers cottage, and is now a Grade-II listed building. The cottage sleeps 2 and comes with a well-equipped kitchenette with fridge, microwave, grill, kettle and toaster. There is a modern shower room and a living / sleeping space with table and chairs, 2 recliners, double bed, Freeview TV, DVD player and digital radio which opens out onto a private decked terrace and garden. We offer a Continental breakfast on arrival for guests, as well as tea and home-made cake in the summer months. Fair-trade tea and coffee plus other condiments are provided. The far end of the garden is home to the yoga studio and teaching space plus our therapy spa room in a converted stable building, dating back to around 1800. There are laundry facilities on-site, free on-street parking and secure storage for bicycles.

Bridport is a town steeped in history, famous for its rope and net-making trade. It is a great place to explore and there is always plenty to do. As well as weekly Wednesday and Saturday markets selling delectable Devon produce and interesting knick-knacks, the town has farmers markets, vintage markets, lots of shops, great eateries, high street names and independent shops.
