The Archway

The Archway Guesthouse on College Road in Windermere provides a superb base to explore the Lake District. This guest house is minutes from the town centre and about a 15-minute stroll to Bowness. Friendly owners Anita and Denis are knowledgeable about the area and will recommend walks, trips and the best places to eat out.

Choose from Superior Rooms with large en suite facilities and fell views or Standard Room with smaller en suite facilities. All rooms are either double or twin and immaculately presented with comfortable seating, a TV, free Wifi, hairdryer, ironing facilities and a hospitality tray with home-made goodies.

There is a varied breakfast menu including the delicious Archway Full English, with lots of other choices and ‘specials’ as well. Our muesli, granola and yoghurt are all home-made and our main ingredients are locally-sourced. We happily accommodate special dietary needs with notice. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are always available. Close to the train station.
