4 Railway Cottage

Welcome to 4 Railway Cottage, a 19th century home situated in Garsdale Head near Sedbergh and offering self-catering for up to 6 guests. Dating back to 1870 as a railway worker’s cottage, it is surrounded by the picturesque Yorkshire Dales and next to Garsdale Station, so you might spot the occasional heritage steam train gently chugging along the Settle to Carlisle railway!

The cottage offers a cosy place to stay. The lounge has sofas, satellite TV, a DVD player, Hifi, and an open fire for chillier evenings. The farmhouse-style kitchen includes an electric cooker, microwave and dining table. There is also a washing machine and freezer in the utility room. You will also find 3 bedrooms and a family bathroom.

Outside the cottage is a small enclosed garden. There is car parking along the private road or you can catch one of the 6 trains that stop at the station every day if you are arriving by other means. Sedbergh has local shops, places to eat, pubs and an arts centre, with the Dales and Lake District providing excellent walking and cycling opportunities.
