Upfront Holiday Lodges

Upfront Holiday Lodges have 2 luxurious timber-framed lodges providing self-catering accommodation near Skelton and Hutton-in-the-Forest. Purpose-built from recycled telegraph poles and with sheep’s wool insulation, the lodges offer a comfortable place to stay with a low carbon footprint and all the facilities you need.

Cedrus Lodge sleeps 6 and Larch Lodge sleeps 4 guests. Both offer spacious living areas with Wifi, sofas, dining table and fully-equipped kitchens with dishwasher, washer and dryer. Patio doors take you out onto the decking area where you can dine al fresco and a private garden area. Dogs are allowed by arrangement.

Our on-site cafe offers delicious vegetarian food, cakes and desserts. There is also an art gallery and the Upfront Puppet Theatre and workshops of artist, John Parkinson. A footpath leads to the village of Skelton with its post office and pub. There are plenty of walks around the area and we are close to Penrith, Hadrian’s Wall and Ullswater.
