The Mount

Welcome to The Mount, offering bed and breakfast / self-catering accommodation and glamping in beautiful Portinscale. This grand Edwardian home boasts original art and craft decor and furnishings collected from around the world from owners Clive and Caroline’s travels. As well as B & B, the whole house can also be exclusively booked as a self-catering property for up to 10 guests at designated times of the year, including summer, Easter, Christmas, New Year and the October half-term holiday.

There are 4 king size bedrooms and a twin room, all with en suite facilities, free Wifi and amazing views. There is also a relaxing guest lounge and garden. A farmhouse breakfast will be freshly prepared for you in the morning, cooked on our Aga stove. We use local produce and can cater for special diets. Our Shepherd’s Hut is equipped with a single bed, wood burning stove and WC with a private shower available in the main house. There is ample private parking.

Clive and Caroline will be on hand to offer advice and help throughout your stay if needed and would be delighted to share their many travelling stories with you. There are tea rooms and a restaurant in the village, with Keswick offering a greater range of amenities.
