St Algars Bed and Breakfast

St Algars is a AA 4-Star accredited bed and breakfast situated in the charming village of Holt, in a quiet rural location and surrounded by rolling green English countryside. Owner Kimberly offers first-class guest service, lovely guest rooms, a comfortable lounge with TV, books and games and direct access to the garden which has a seating and barbeque area. There is also dry storage for wet clothing and bicycles, plus plenty of parking.

Choose from a twin or double en-suite room with stunning views. The twin is on the ground floor and has its own private entrance from the rear garden. Rooms are always immaculately presented with a comfortable bed, high quality linen, TV and a well-stocked hospitality tray. Breakfast includes an extensive cold buffet and a cooked Full English, using high-quality Dorset produce wherever possible. We are happy to cater for those with special dietary requirements.

St Algars is found in Holt, a small village in east Dorset some 2 miles north of the market town of Wimborne Minster. The village centres around a large green surrounded by thatched cottages and an inn. Holt gives its name to nearby Holt Heath, owned by the National Trust, an area of ancient forest designated as a National Nature Reserve in 1985 due to the diverse flora and fauna, including rare species such as the Sand Lizard and Dartford Warbler.
