Bay Tree House

Bay Tree House is a superb AA and Visit England accredited 4-Star bed and breakfast located in a central, but quiet, residential location in Dorchester, a short walk to the town centre and minutes from the railway station, also with the benefit of free off-road parking. This is a 19th-century house that has been tastefully and lovingly refurbished with light, bright and airy rooms. Family-run by hosts Nicola and Gareth Cutler, whom also won the excellent Walnut Grove restaurant and coffee shop in the town, you will find the highest standards of guest service, accommodation and cooking here.

There are single, twin and double rooms at Bay Tree House, with either en-suite, sink and toilet facilities or a private bathroom. Sumptuous beds with sprung memory foam mattresses await you, with extra comforts such as a well-stocked hospitality tray, bottled water, TV, free Wifi, hairdryer, complimentary toiletries and ironing facilities. There is also use of a fridge and fresh milk available. Breakfast is a choice of cereals and juices, followed by a Continental or Full English, using locally-sourced free-range eggs and Dorchester farmed dry-cured bacon and sausages.

Dorchester is a thriving market town full of great shops and attractions, coupled with a rich history. Visit the many museums or take the Durnovaria Interactive Town Walk to learn about the past. Just a few minutes drive away will see you in the midst of rolling green countryside and walking country, or nip to the coast where you will find a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Jurassic Coast, and some of the most spectacular scenery in Britain.
