The Casterbridge

Centrally located in Dorchester, The Casterbridge bed and breakfast provides accommodation close to amenities and attractions and is perfect for your romantic getaway, business trip or family holiday in Dorset. This is an elegant Georgian townhouse, clad with beautiful wisteria giving that period feel. There are beautiful furnishings throughout the house in the bar / library, drawing room and conservatory. There is also a courtyard garden. Off-site parking is located just across the road from the guesthouse.

Bedrooms are located on the first and second floors and all enjoy en-suite facilities, from a traditional 4-poster room to more contemporary-styled rooms. We have single, twin, double and superior double rooms. Breakfast is served in the dining room or conservatory with a choice of buffet options and a hot mixed grill. Alternatively, a Continental breakfast can be delivered to your room. We endeavour to cater for a range of dietary needs. Relax in the drawing room with tea or coffee and biscuits and browse the range of local literature. There is free Wifi in the public areas and in some bedrooms.

There is so much to do in Dorchester, the beautiful and historic county town of Dorset. From the excellent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, to the museums brimming full of the history of the area. Dorchester is adjacent to the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and traversed by the South Dorset Ridgeway, which is part of the famous South-West Coastal Path. From here you can see the many ancient monuments including hillforts, stone and circles and barrows.
