May Cottage

May Cottage is a traditional stone cottage offering self-catering accommodation in the pretty village of Tideswell, near Buxton. Dating back to the early 19th century, it offers a cosy place to stay, with all its period features still intact. The cottage is close to the local shops, cafes and pubs in the village. Guests will find a welcome pack of essentials to help you settle in.

The living room has beautiful beamed ceilings and a stone fireplace, with Sky TV, DVD and coal effect gas fire. The kitchen has all the modern appliances such as a dishwasher and microwave, with laundry facilities in an outbuilding. There is a family bathroom, double bedroom and twin bedroom. Dogs are welcome for no additional charge.

Tideswell is a bustling village set in excellent walking country. It is a great base for a holiday, with amenities including village pubs and cafes. The wonderful 14th century church of St John the Baptist is known as the Cathedral of the Peaks and Tideswell Dale has a nature reserve, picnic area and sculpture trail.
