The Red Lion

The Red Lion Pub is a 17th century coaching inn in Bakewell, offering fine food and beverages, as well as a comfortable place to stay. Located on the main road into this beautiful market town, we have been providing visitors and travellers a well-deserved rest throughout the centuries.

Our pub offers a friendly atmosphere and well-stocked bar. The restaurant is open from midday, serving a selection of hearty pub classics and we also have a children’s menu. All our rooms are well-equipped with double bed, en suite shower rooms, Freeview TV, free Wifi, hairdryer and a refreshment tray. We can also provide a delicious breakfast using local ingredients to help you start your day!

The pub is close to all the shops, tea rooms and pudding shops in the town, with pretty Bath Gardens opposite. With plenty of walks and cycle ways leading to and from the town, we are a great choice for walkers and cyclists visiting the Peak District.
