The Rose and Crown

Welcome to the Rose and Crown, a Grade II listed building offering well-appointed bedrooms in Elham village. Dating back to 1740 as the village courtroom, it was then used as a coaching inn. The original courtroom can still be visualized on the first floor and it still has all its charming architecture. Today, our guests enjoy a comfortable stay, great food and stunning views across the valley.

We have 6 guest rooms, situated in the old converted stables. All have en suite facilities, Freeview TV, hairdryer, Wifi and refreshment tray. There is plenty of car parking virtually outside your door. Our restaurant is open for delicious lunch dishes and evening meals using a range of seasonal local produce. Our bar has a friendly atmosphere and there is a beer garden.

Located in the heart of the Kent Downs we welcome many holidaymakers, walkers, bikers and cyclists looking for a well-deserved break or stopover. The beautiful city of Canterbury is only a short drive away where you can visit the cathedral, museums, galleries, theatres and shops.
