The Goose Barn

The Goose Barn at Longsyke Farm is less than a mile to the Hadrian's Wall National Trail and to its junction with the Pennine Way in Northumberland. The barn is also a mile north of the National Park Visitor Centre at Once Brewed, and close to the famous Roman sites of Vindolanda and Housesteads, making it an excellent choice for your visit to the area.

A welcome pack of wine, fresh eggs and cake is waiting for guests on their arrival at the barn. There is a comfortable sitting area, fully-equipped country kitchen and utility area. The main bedroom suite has a king-size four-poster bed, underfloor heating, solid oak floors and an en suite with a large shower. The second bedroom can be made up with twin beds, or as a king- size double. It also has underfloor heating and solid oak floors. The barn is an environmentally aware, low carbon property.

Patio furniture and a barbecue are provided. A first basket of logs and kindling are complimentary and a selection of toys and books for small children can be provided. We can provide a bike maintenance/ repair service for guests as well as a qualified bike guiding service. Secure storage and an outside hose are provided.
