Sawrey House is an elegant Victorian country hotel and restaurant nestled in between Lake Windermere and Esthwaite Water. Overlooking the countryside of the Lake District, we are adjacent to Beatrix Potters former residence Hill Top Farm. We have 3 acres of beautiful gardens and provide a tranquil and relaxing retreat.

All our guest rooms offer bespoke decor. We have Lake View Rooms, our Esthwaite Room has a classic 4-poster bed and double-ended bath; Garden View Rooms, Standard Rooms and Single Rooms. All have their own en suite facilities, luxury toiletries, Freeview TV, Wifi, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and hospitality tray.

As well as our gardens you can also relax in our Guest Lounge with Bar. Our Restaurant and Brasserie offers a selection of freshly produced meals all made with locally-sourced ingredients, whether you want a hearty breakfast, light lunch, indulgent afternoon tea or candle-lit evening meal. Breakfast is included in our room rates and you can upgrade before you arrive to include a superb 3-course evening meal.
